The light at the end of the tunnel

Our new apartment (which I am calling ours, even though I am only there on the weekends) officially has the ugliest light fixture in the history of the universe.*

Picture 462

J thought it was “kind of cool” and pointed out that it “looked new”.  Boys must always think shiny means new.  I thought he was kind of on crack and that the apartment management must be too.

Although we will probably only be in this apartment for the next two years and I will only be there full time for one, I still am not sure that I can bear this shiny, tinted, engraved, clinky piece of flare.

I have already been looking at possibilities for replacement, what do you think of these? Does anyone have any experience in replacing your dining room light fixture and advice on where to go?

  5. Love the Anthro one. I’m betting that you and Meg both doing posts on lighting was a coincidence though!
